Elenas Country Photo Shoot

September 2011

September was our catch up month. Arlen was able to get some big projects out of the way, I am still trying to get good with my new camera so the girls have become my models :)
Paige helped me out to make these sunflowers extra sunny.
Neither Arlen nor I like cake very much, so I made a delicious apple crisp for my 22nd birthday! It's been a great year!
After the tornado last spring, the shop doors wouldn't shut right, so Arlen has been planning this project for a while. Taking the old ones off was a pain because they were so heavy. But as soon as they were gone my handy hubby was a blur building these new ones! Dutch doors, lots of shelves to store anything on, and a great camo background!

All done!

August on the Ridge

First day of 5th and 6th Grade!!
Paige helping out in the garden, with one of the kittens
Poor Moose! He luckily is pretty nice to PJ, even if she doesn't treat him like a cat haha
Elena helping bring in some veggies

Our garden did great this year!!

Newly Weds

We had such a great time on our honeymoon, and I had blast seeing parts of the country I had never been through before. For Arlen it was like giving a tour of his childhood, but we had a lot of fun. We started off in Albany OR, and drove down along the coast to Gold Beach and the Rogue River. After a day long jet boat ride up the river, we watched the sunset over the ocean and the whales swimming in the waves. The next day we were off to northern California and the Redwood forest. After a horrible drive on a windy road, we were once again driving along the ocean. Next stop was Lake Tahoe! We stayed two nights at Harveys with a great lake view, went to Weds night meeting with some folks in Carson City at Velma Bunch's home. Then we spent a night with Dave and Jean VanDenBerg, which was so much fun. The next day we left for Klamath Falls and had meeting at Mike and Denise Bechdolts. After meeting we drove to Crater Lake to play in some snow and then on to Bend. There we stayed with Shaunas in-laws, before bringing her and Emma back with us to Albany.

First night at Gold Beach
California coast...just stopped to walk around a bit before getting back in the car to keep on driving.

YAY to get out of the car! After a very windy drive down HW-1...we pulled over to check out the sights. The cliffs here are so pretty!
A beautiful day on Lake Tahoe...wish we could have spent all week here!
A hike with the VanDenBergs to a nice spot to eat dessert.
Crater Lake...yes it really is THAT blue :)
Back at Mom and Dad Rameys for some cuddle time with Emma Jane...we had a great trip!

Paige Turns 3

Paige had lots of "birthdays" this year, and we were glad we were able to make it to Oregon to celebrate with her. First up was a fun afternoon at the Putt Putt course with Poppa and Nana Ramey. Luckily Poppa helped her out with her shots. This was her little victory dance haha

After a game of golf, it was back to the house for yummy cake that Nana made. It was a nice little party with Great Grandma and Grandpa LiaBraaten and Great Uncle Scott.
The next day we went across town to Grandpa and Grandma Collins for a family party. Lots of cousins and laughs.

And of course...more cake :)

Many of you are our friends on Facebook, so have seen these pictures already. For those of you who are not....I will try to get this updated as quickly as possible for you :)
