Paige walking through our front pond. Not sure if she knew how close the water was to coming over the sides of her boots, but she held her skirt up so it wouldn't get wet!
The kids went down to the creek to check out the high water from all the rain we have been having. The water is still too cold to go in, but the sand is warm enough to play with.
Paige wiggling her toes in the sand and our Buster dog enjoying the warm weather.

Sunny Days
Heathers Mom Comes To Visit
The weather is much nicer in Southern Ohio than Upstate New York, so the ladies spent as much time as they could outside when the sun was out.

Elena and the 20 gauge
Elenas friend Bell (9yrs. old) killed a turkey during youth season, so now Elena wants to turkey hunt too. She decided to try out Heathers 20 gauge shot gun, and did exceptionally well!
She put probably 15 shells through the gun, and is pretty comfortable with how to safely operate a gun.
"Whats rule #1?" I asked her this probably 50 times while we were out there and taught her how to load, unload, and where/what parts of the gun were and their functions.

Hedder, the girls, and me
Heather decided to deface one of my perfectly good trees hahaha after I drug her up the hill to help me hunt for the Morels. Mushrom season is here as well as turkeys starting this Monday. Heather and Ryann may both have a chance to bag a bird this year. My distant relative Greg Swenson who is in the work came for a visit and was able to snap this pic of us out under a blooming tree. Beautiful days we are having....
Spring
I love that when spring is supposed to come, it actually comes here in Appalachia. None of this wishy-washy maybe it'll snow or maybe I'll have to keep the fires going a while longer or whatever. Trees and flowers blooming, the birds and bees orgy in the front yard, longer days with warm sunsets, yep, spring is here.
